Welcome to the stage JJGray. Sorry not much help but I'd check Google and YouTube then I'd call local bait shops. Good luck and share your pics 👍. Stay safe out there in all that heat 👍

There are 3 nice trout lakes near Happy Jack, they are all off of control road 300, Chevlon, Knoll, and Bear Canyon, long dirt road drives but worth it!

Blue Ridge Reservoir (now called CC Cragin Reservoir) would be my go to destination from Happy Jack but you will need a small boat, canoe, or kayak. A difficult lake to fish from shore. Power bait, salmon eggs, Rooster tails, and small crayfish crank baits have all served me well there.
