Nice crappie, Mr. Wood. Nice boat too.

Same boat that's in my profile picture. The one I built last year. But, thanks!

Sweet! That is a jumbo for sure! From the backdrop, it would appear that you are fishing from a classic wooden drift boat or skiff of some sort too...I like it!

It's a boat I built.

I'm still fishing. The winters in South Louisiana are mild, now is the time to start catching the big ones.

I find that 6'6" is the best all around rod length with a medium to medium heavy action.

I’m new to surf fishing in Myrtle Beach SC. I’ve caught a few fish and I have no idea what I’m catching. Is there a good place to find out identify from photos?

Google, just ask for native species of fish to that area you're fishing. That will give you a good start.

I didn't music would strike such a nerve on the stage. When I get back home I'm going to fire up the PA and play some drums. Phil Collins "In the air tonight" will be where I start.

I agree with you but my last trip to the Delta on my drop shot rig I moved the weight down so there was about 24 inches between weight and hook. It worked great in shallow water with my fluke higher up the grass. It was the first time I have used in a drop shot rig in shallow water. Won't be the last!

I'm definitely going to give them a try.
