Nope. Just gearing up to get started.
I have winterized my boat and put my rods and reels in storage until spring.
Duck and deer hunting now.
I will be out ice fishing as soon as there is safe ice however!

How is the duck and deer hunting going, Billy? I don't do either anymore. I haven't duck hunted since my good dog died in the early '90s, and I haven't deer hunted since I tipped my ATV completely over in the early '2000. I never did ice fish, wrestling, you know. I haven't winterized my boat yet, but I don't think I will make it out anymore. It sits in a heated garage, and the outboard is a 4 stroke Honda, so, I don't think I have to hurry. I did put some Sea Foam in the tank but I haven't put the ears on and ran it yet. They are catching some panfish/bass around here, a few small saugers.
Deer hunting was very good. Both my son Jack and I each got nice bucks on opening day.
I was on some nice crappies too until a couple weeks ago (have not gone since).
Duck hunting . . . not so good, it has been a pretty mediocre fall with the warm weather. I think the birds are still north of the border!
I love the fall - I wish it lasted 11 months!

I'm still fishing. The winters in South Louisiana are mild, now is the time to start catching the big ones.

Oh, nice buck, congrats, that's a trophy. Did you get him on South Ridge? It looks like you caught the crappie at the Bass Camp.
yep I have my boat in my heated garage for winter storage, and my gear all backed away waiting for spring. Why? the salt water fishing is way to rough this time of year for my little boat, the high land lakes I like to fish are or will be frozen over and I am getting to old and wimpy to rock hop the river banks during driving rain or snow besides when fishing is more work and pain than fun it is time to pack it in for the winter and enjoy the ones in the freezer for a few month. But my grandsons wanted to fish this week while we were getting pounded by the "atmospheric river" so I told them they could put on their coats and go out back and practice casting which they did. Later I looked up in the rule book and found that any rivers not mentioned in the sections on rivers were under the general state rules and were closed to fishing after October 31. So since the Atmospheric river is not mentioned even it is closed to fishing this time of year. Luckily no game warden saw them in my back field fishing it so no ticket was issued.

Thanks Leo.
The buck was shot in Hanson Valley (a little valley off of Looney Valley between Houston and Ridgeway), and the crappies were actually caught near Alma.
Here in Central Indiana I find bank fishing this time of year not to be very productive. I like to wade creeks and small rivers with insulated waders but we have had a great deal of rain lately and I think the streams are to high to wade. I do not have a boat but I do have a kayak and I do not like to take it out when the water temps are this cool. I have not put my gear up hoping for some 50 degree days and lower stream levels to continue fishing.
2 words: Winter Steelhead!
Fishing is still good. Beautiful sunrise this morning and a decent LM. Caught on a Texas rig green pumpkin senko.
Hi Rock. That is one helluva rack. Looks like mounting quality unless you have a bunch already hanging on the walls.
Enjoy the rest of the season. Be safe, watch out for that other guy and don't carry that trophy rack with you in the woods.
