We need more info. like what kind of streamer ,size and if your fishing a stream, river or a lake ? also from the bank, wade fishing or a boat. for example if your in a boat fishing a wooly bugger then i use just use a short piece of 12 to 15 lb fluorocarbon on the rivers . If for example i'am fishing a stream with a streamer then i might build a longer leader to get my fly away from the fly line that is thicker and darker in color and might spook the fish. Remember to place the fly in front of the fish and don't put the line over the fish . just mend the fly so it drifts in front of the fishes mouth . See how that works . Tight lines and good luck. Remember to always wear a belt when wade fishing safety first !

I have not been able to get 100 yards yet , but i'am still hoping may be if the wind was right . my rod is a 7.5 St Croix mojo MH MF . With a med . action and mod. tip you could a little more distance I don't know . May be some one can answer that one . RB

Yes I have one on a St Croix mojo bass rod . It does not stop back lashes , But it greatly reduces them . I've run 12 lb mono and 20 lb braid on it . depending on the size of your lure and casting ability you can get about 8 or 10 yards more distance with braid . I hope this helps and answers your questions RB

Hello Jbird : For me Sebastain inlet pier has always fished good . I've only fished there four times and it was great all four times . of course the bait fish changes with the season and so does the fish chasing them but there's always something bite ing at Sebastain pier .For me the winter has always been better for me to fish there . There's less people and the surf is rougher and the fish are more active . I've never camped there so I don't know about that . So go and have fun with what ever fish are there on that day you can catch bait on the pier or buy bait from the shop and you can get your feet wet and surf fish for free beside the pier . the pier is great structure that holds a large number of fish .. Have fun and I wish I was going with you . RB

Wainermaine : You are correct my idea of large water and yours are different . I fish Carters lake, chickamauga, blue ridge, west point, lake sinclair and my favorite in Ga is Seminole . In Fla. I fish lake okeechobee always with a guide . Tenn I fish nickajack on the Tenn river , Ft. Loudon . I'am just a old country boy at heart bot these seem large to me ( with a lot of boat traffic or bad weather ) it can be a rough ride . I was just thinking some of these fine gentlemen might have gone through this and have some idea's . Also if you are ever in SC Santee-cooper is a great lake full of LM Bass and Cat Fish Thank You RB
