Shoot me an email at barronscustombaits@gmail.com next year before this event, I’d love to send some baits down for the kids. I’m a deputy sheriff in Marion, so I’d be happy to get behind this event!
Work schedule more than anticipated. Advisor like transformed to get I done right now mode. Everyone quit. I’m deep in the weeds. Bought Cygwin Nitro in April. Had it out like 5 times. Every trip something wrong with rigging. Including a bad 12 v cranking battery . Electronics still need some love dialing in. Been so tired comming home from work. It’s like I’m the great white hope. So many people gone. I’m overwhelmed. Getting ready to run a trial on third shift then run a production run the following second shift. Gotta send a courtier to the lab 2 hours away. Oh well. That’s a snapshot of how my days going I can’t get the new Nitro out. Shedule conflict after schedule conflict . Bottom line. I’m not getting the boat wet. Making monthly payment and not using. Hang on I guess hope it gets better
No and I sure wish I would. Had a buyer and the 7-10 days to get title turned to 16 days and the buyer walked. Had a couple interested . One guy actually had his wife insist on a bigger boat cause they took their German Sheppard with them . And another couple came to their senses last minute and decide it wasn’t in budget. Now I have 2 bass boats. Was really hoping it was gone by now

Turn out was limited due to rain ( typical for me ) But we pulled it off. Venue was local white water outfitter. Adults are all law enforcement . And the kids. Well the kids are special cases the FOP pays special attention to. All victims of various hardships. I’m in the yellow rain jacket. The big kid beside me on black and white shirt ( only 14. Big boy ) and the kid in the colorful shirt are brothers. They were orphaned when his father. A firefighter was killed on the job. The little black dude next to me was one cool little dude. First in and snatched up the red rod immediately. They all got starter tackle boxes. Every one was appreciative. The two cops on the left assured me they would get the remaining outfits into the hands of the kids who couldn’t make it.

Gotta say. I have an AR style rifle. Set up for distance work. I’ve been extensively trained , am proficient and am a responsible , stable citizen.
Also gotta say, does everyone have the okey dokey to own such a weapon ?? Im torn on this . But obviously those with proper training , skill set to be effective , and the degree of responsibility to own such a weapon should be allowed to own one and to carry the burden of that responsibility.
