abraininajar I will tell you what I was told to do in 1977, tie on Texas Rig worm and go in the yard and set out some targets at different spots and cast to the targets overhand,side arm and backhand, set the tension knob where it just starts to fall when you bush the thumb bar. practice practice practice then take the hooks off a crank bait and do the same thing if you want to throw a bait caster this will help a lot forget the videos.. GOOD casting

rawr856 take a look at my rig it is the 9.3:1 50# braid with a zoom Horny Toad, Bullfrog and I skip it under trees and docks all the time the rod is a KVD 6.5 MH.

I think that's the way it should be, I started in the 1970's when the "left hand" reels were expensive. I cast with my right and reel with left on casting and spinning reels.

I lost a out fit and now all my rods have Luna Sea Cush-It Floating Rod Butt Cushion on them problem solved!
