Just seems that soon as they hit the inlet they turn south east away from the beach !?!
Just seems to me like the last couple of years once the stripers hit the inlet south of IBSP they turn southeast and don’t hit the LBI beaches like they do the beaches north of there ?? Is it just me ?
Nice catch ! I spent all day on LBI sun up to sundown! 13 dogfish all I have to show for it !
Was that a artificial kernel of corn to catch that many on one kernel!!! Hahaha
Has anyone else been catching them that you saw?
Nice surprised that fish was still hungry! Fish on!
Went to lbi Sunday morning tough fishing plenty of bait bunker peanut bunker bay anchovies but no fish probably because of sand bar about 200 yards from shore and a shallow trough it runs a long way up and down the island hardly any cuts
That’s dedication!!! Keep at it bands 👍
Ever catch any holdover trout when your at colonial lake ?
I’ve caught them in both inlets at the north and south ends of the island I’ve had better luck at Corsens inlet at the south end using all kinds of baits and lures clams sand fleas mullet bunker chunks sp minnows bucktails w teasers but it may be a little early for them yet the water temp needs to drop a little but good luck anyway
Don’t the nightcrawlers disintegrate in salt water I tried them once before didn’t work out very well
Nice catch !! I remember 2 guys ! That was way back in the day !!!
Been fishing the surf since Tuesday trying different times and tides only a few kingfish and very small dog fish the water temp today someone said was 58 degrees it was cold seems this summer is a constant upwelling!
Bucktail with a gulp teaser works great there also you can get a beach view from the friends of IBSP web site live camera
