A dog and one minus the dog leaves you feeling like less than one. I hurt for you, buddy. Stay strong.
I guess I'm old, those weren't as far back for me as maybe for some people. I got them all, immediately.
I got two different answers for #16. I's have to post the alternate answer in the attic. "Loose straps...."
I'm going to take a guess at what kind of dog he had -
A GIANT SCHNAUZER?
That sure beats ice and snow!
Exercise? Here's how I get mine:
I get my exercise by:
Beating around the bush
Jumping to conclusions
Climbing the walls
Taking Leaps of faith
Dragging my heels
Pushing my luck
Running down the boss
Tooting my own horn
Putting my foot in my mouth
Letting my mind wander
Running late for work
Spinning my wheels
Getting the runaround
No big thing, 40 in a 25 MPH zone while I was still 16. I was on my way to a date, guess I was eager to be there!
I hope I'm not too far out of line by addressing TEMU here, the discussion seems to have gone off in another direction.
I've bought from TEMU several times. One example is that I ordered a set of drill bits in fractional sizes and they sent me metric. No problem, I can still use them so I didn't raise the issue with temu. Then I realized that they didn't drill holes worth @#!! Close examination showed that they'd ground the cutting edges wrong and they actually drilled better when spun in reverse, but that's no good since the chips weren't brought up out of the hole by the flutes. It was aonly a few bucks, so i didn't raise the issue with temu and just threw them away.
The best thing I'll say about temu is that they offer (mostly) free shipping and that you can find novel things there that you've never seen anywhere else.
I've had some items that made me happy at a great price and I've had some problems that TEMU made good when I brought up the issue. I'd rather buy USA made, but good luck finding hardly anything that's made here!
One last remark, about fishing reels, lures, line and so on: Once upon a time, I wanted top quality and paid for it. Good reels can cost like a son-of-a-gun! Now I'm old and I'm asking myself whether I need heirloom-quality gear. A $12 reel will probably last me the rest of my days. Gotta keep things in perspective.
Every year at about this time, I think of my Great-Grandmother. She was a very German lady. Every year between Christmas and New Years eve, she'd clean her house within an inch of its life, like spring cleaning but at the end of December!
She used to say something that sounded to me like
"Ist unlucky to start die new year mit old dirt!"
Anyone else find any odd quirks in the family that might have come from the old country?
Any showing of that movie will be marked by my absence. I don't have insomnia, anyway!
We had those twirly things on our tree when i was a kid. We'd hang them right over a bulb so that the convection would make them turn. Our bulbs were 7 watts each, so I'm a little bit dubious that the star in the picture turns over the tiny bulb shown. After using them for several years, ours gave in to wear and tear and would hardly work even over a hot bulb.
I looked it up too. I never heard of it either, but I'm sure that it would have cured me!
2% goes to the cause ...that's the case with way too many "charities"! Before I got wise to how phony a lot of these things are, I'd make a donation and then later realize that they spent probably more than I gave to pay the postage to ask me for more!
I've found a couple that I can trust to use my donation wisely and whose works I support, and that's where my donations go.
If most of your donation is going to be consumed by "administrative costs", you'd do better by just throwing handfuls of bills in the air and hoping that it does some good somewhere.
If we're talking about marriage advice, here is how to win and keep your spouse.
If you're concerned about a total crash of our economy, I know where to have your money.
..............AMMO.
I'm not talking about planning to shoot anyone. If money becomes hyper inflated or worthless, ammo will be a really hot currency.
That could come in handy. Gender identification is getting kind of 'iffy' but this looks foolproof!
