That is nothing compared to the size of the fish you are holding in your picture
We were out golfing once, and a friend hit a ball out into the bushes, and when looking for it we found it in a rattlesnake's mouth trying to swallow it. My friend poured whiskey in the snakes mouth and it let go of the ball, and we continued on our way. A couple holes later, something tapped my friend on the back of his leg, and it was that snake with another ball in its mouth.

OK. It just doesn't matter to me and never has how much the fish I catch weigh. Girth squared x length over 800. I don't know how accurate that is, but probably not accurate enough that I would take the time to measure the girth and length of a fish. About 2 pounds. About 10 pounds. Those are close enough for me. That's also why I don't post a lot of pictures of my catch. That way I can lie about it. (would any of us do that?) I almost always do the C&R thing and I don't like to take them out of the water for any length of time at all if I don't have to.

Yes, those fish grow quickly after they have been released. Once caught a 12 pounder and by the end of the day it was 18 :)
Buy some snake chaps and wear them, at least when one strikes you will just die quickly of a heart attack, instead of slowly by the venom. :)
That's Awesome! I don't think that fast
I want to go fishing with you!!! When are we leavin?
I have the same duck call, and it works well for locating turkeys too
A couple of buddies went Moose hunting and flew into a small and very remote lake in a float plane. The pilot left them there for a few days, and upon return they had a huge moose all quartered and ready to take out. The pilot explained to them that there would be too much weight if he tried to take everyone and the moose out at the same time. They told the pilot that their pilot last year took off with easy that much weight, and kinda questioned his abilities. By Gawd, the pilot replied, if he can do it, I can!!!!! So they loaded everything up and went back just as far as they could, revved the engine to full speed skipping across the water until they reached the end of the lake, and as the pilot struggled to get the plane airborne, it hit some trees and crashed. As everyone kinda started to come to after the crash, one guy asked the other, Where are we at? His buddy replied about a 100 yards from where we crashed last year.
Spirit can catch fish out of a mud puddle on the street. A 40 out of a river is not a problem at all
One thing is for sure. You are going to learn a lot of great jokes!! LOL
It would seem that the muddy water rushing into the lake must be bringing lot of things to eat with it.
Utah is the home of public lands, and great access. A challenge to fly fisherman out there. See if you can catch a fish in the lower Provo River, a beautiful clear water stream with some huge Brown Trout in it. If you can, you are on helluva fly fisherman regardless of whether or not you catch a huge Brown.

Yep, never paid attention to the price on the gas pump when driving the company pickup. LOL
