Fish don't care which reel you use. Use the one that allows you to put the bait where you want it.
I use both. Love my baitcaster for firing out crankbaits but I like my spinning reel for skipping because I suck skipping a baitcaster lol.

Where's the trolling motor go?

I run 30lb braid to a 12 or 14lb floro leader on my bass rods...if the knots are tied correctly, floro works great and the increased sensitivity is huge. That said, definitely not for all fishing applications.

I own a Pro Guide 16 WT deep v. It's a 2011 and the only issue I've had is a bad livewell pump.
Trackers are not best boats on the market but not all of can or want to drop 30 or 40 grand on a boat. Finding a used one that was well taken care of is a good option.

There are so many variables in fishing...when I'm having a bad streak I try to be thankful that I'm able to just get out and do what I enjoy. Next thing know...Hook up!
