I’m trying to get my second reel and I’m debating spinning or bait caster? I have had some experience with a bait caster but I don’t know if I should change my gear. If you have any advice to help me I’ll appreciate it. Thank you.

Baitcaster is better for letting them run with the line and some can get better distance from casting if your setup right but getting used to it without birds nesting is the only issue but i love my baitcaster havent even used any of my others since getting it

I just got my first bait casters this year. Really depends on the type of fishing. For me, light lures are easier on spinning tackle. Took me some practice with the bait casters but I have never casted more accurately or farther with anything else. Once you get use to them you really do have more control over your lure. Good luck!!

We see a lot of great catches with spinning, but with our sales right now you can actually get a good idea if you buy both. What area do you fish in and type of species? I can check to see what users typically use in your area. In the meantime, check out some of our sales here - and PM me if you're considering a purchase. I might be able to get you a discount (but no promises)

Spinning reels excel in trout fishing pan fishing and bait fishing with light lures from the shore but a bait casting reel excels everything else so my way is the bait casting reel all the way.
For ease and learning, stay with spinning reels. I rarely use my bait casting reels anymore—spinning is way more practical. But then, I fish totally saltwater.
Fish don't care which reel you use. Use the one that allows you to put the bait where you want it.
I use both. Love my baitcaster for firing out crankbaits but I like my spinning reel for skipping because I suck skipping a baitcaster lol.
