You might look up pine lake and rock creek they are in middle of the state no wake lakes but do hold bass. They our state parks do have camp grounds they our small no big lakes known for bass fishing hope this helps

I am fishing in Perdio Key fl. I bought 10 ft rod and reel from Cabelas right around 100 bucks should have some bait shops around there for sinkers and hooks. Not sure how much you want to spend you can get cheap stuff at Walmart. I am no expert just like to sit and watch poles minus 7 in Iowa 67 here life is good. You might consider charter for you and grandsons they will put you on fish.

Amy if you want to try it maybe see if there is some place close by you can pay to ice fish. I know lake of the woods you pay they take you out to ice house supply all equipment. Their might be some place closer can Google it

I have minnows in my garage for 3 weeks no aerator or anything. I have changed water every week just dumped water out added snow let it melt garage not heated not freezing but cold so if you keep water cold but not freezing they will last. Iam going fishing today so this should be it trading ice for surf fishing next week.

Took grandson ice fishing to on friends farm pond yesterday. We had a great time he did really well caught couple of nice crappies and I managed to catch few small bass and crappie,more fun watching him.

I know if you fish on boundary waters between 2 states you can buy 1 license to fish entire body of water at least I fish big stone lake Minnesota. South Dakota can have either one I have been checked also fished Red wing on Mississippi same thing

You have received good advice i would go to bait shop in your area they will help you. You can Google best rated ones in your area. I would suggest on flasher buy decent one don't need the best but not cheapest either

Yours look great i am not near that talented. I bought some clear square bills and use nail polish caught alot of fish on my red one and the others caught fish.

I throw with my left reel with right hand I am to expert but get along pretty good. I have 10 year old grandson uses 7 ft rod with baitcaster he is getting pretty good just like they say practice practice practice good luck

Another alternative is PVC pipe alot easier and lighter you could probably utube it. I know you can buy kits on line.

If you have walleye boat lake Erie around port Clinton Ohio big walleye or hire guide or boat.Fished lake of the woods this year plenty of places around Baudete Minn. Stayed at Ballards nice place specialize in launches not sure of price.
