. Shore or boat ?Bait or Lures?What kind of fish you wanting to catch ?I like live bait this time of year both Minnows and crawlers will catch most all fish in the water .Was at Sterling over the weekend and caught a carp on a minnow and a bobber. l never did that before .

You might also try some of the lakes around ..Cherry Creek, Chatfeild, Jim Baker,is one of my favs,has most all the fresh water spices in it. The lake across from Lakeside holds good cats ,bass and a few others
grasshoppers and crickets work great for the trout at Steamboat lake also

There are many more people fishing, but have you seen any of these new folks really catching fish? I have seen people casting bobbers with spinners under them and just letting them set! I watched a guy on a boat with minnows on a crank bait a minnow on each of the trebble points looked like a ball of catfish bait , he spent 4 hours without a bite ...I just wish the DOW would quit trading our game fish for these monster things that do nothing but eat all the small game fish so our lakes just get less and less good fish. Tiger muskies ,Lake Trout,.????????? All our Kokanee salmon are getting eaten by all these Lakers..Loose Walleye.to the Tigers as well as trout ,perch ,crappie ,and small bass
i will always use a bobber when I am catching smallmouth at lakes with good rocks .Use with minnows just after dark ,or during fall spawing. Been getting some 17 to 20 inchers.
I do know Jim Baker Res. has some great bass, both small and large mouth .The lake is on south of 64th off tennision
Almost every pond or lake along the front range has bass ..This great State of Colo. has Largemouth. Smallies and Wipers ,strippers even rock bass
