Saltwater fishing and catching a lot of these. Anybod know if they are good to eat and what they are.

The fish is called a grunt. When you take them out of the water you’ll notice and making a grunting sound catching up of them and they make a great meal

No I’m new to the area

Wait till December and January the release rainbow trout in local parks. Easy to catch on can corn and a float

You can go to trout stocking Texas and it will give you the days in your area and all over the state. Great time for kids of all ages and do it from shore

I live in north Texas and have a 9yr grand son that loves top fish. He doesn’t care what he catches, but like to sling lures. Does anyone know where we can bank fish. We live in Denton with many lakes around us. I haven’t lived here very long. Any help would be great, I don’t want him to lose interest

I live in Burleson Tx. I bank fish in Cleburne at a park call Buddy Stewart park
I I have court white bass. Crappie Largemouth. In catfish all from the banks

What kind of fish are being stocked Bruce? What bait is being used? I know y’all have had some really cold weather and that may have shut them down. Good luck.

They start with rainbow trout
Yesterday all I could catch was a couple carp Which is always fun and ultra light tackle still no rainbow haven’t quite understood it yet when they did this last month the fish were up and biting in about two days

The other thing they seem to like the colder weather it would be faster and better but as they say that’s why they call it fishing and not catching at least I’m outside relaxing

Maybe you fished most of them out. It depends upon how many fish are in the stocked pond. It could be some one is chumming the pond with dog kibble food and then using a throw net at night.

I don’t think it is Fished out We were told that there was over 1000 put in the lake on Wednesday morning and I would really hate to think there’s some selfish SOB will be out there with the cows in it at night because when they made the dump in December we caught fish for almost the whole month just taking our limit
