I'm Scorchy, yes real name, born Kaiser W.C. 1954.

Raised in Concord with a hard working blue collar family that fished all the time.

Now retired in a small town in Northern California called Stonyford.

I spent many years fishing EBRP lakes, doing special kid events, family fishing days and giving seminars. And Guiding on the Delta. I sure miss it down there however as my health slowly improves in some ways I hope to fish down there again maybe in a few years. Maybe we could meet some time and you could show me some tricks for being a better fly fisherman, lol. I have just now started back to try and pick it up after about no doing it at all in 40 years or so.

Anyway good to see a fellow Bay Area, Contra Costa fisherman. This bunch is great and very helpful.

Yes I did Steve,

Lots of small to 2#Largemouths and I did not last very long but new brace is helping, recovery will be a long road. Anyway my friend got a bass over 4 lbs. and about 20 mins. later one over 5 so all in all a great day.

The best part was no smoke!

I thank you and your grand-daughter for your help I will have tine to set and work it out with a fresh mind in the a.m.

Your boat is just right, I have had all kinds of bass boats but the most fun and by far the most fish of all types came from my Dads wood Chris Craft do it your self kit 14 foot wood boat and my wood boat with a rigged up Johnson and then Merc Thruster 12 volt small egg beaters.

You will have a ball I am sure........... Congratulations !!!!

Hello From Stonyford, CA,

Today this morning for the first time in many months the air is clear, blue skies, visibility at least 15 miles.

Any wind from the wrong way and it is back in the house. But for now it is nice to see the mountains. Much cooler weather by weeks end and possibly a little rain this coming Saturday.

I will give you a call this afternoon.
Hope you can stay inside. We had 2 blue sky days and nights. This morning it has settled in from a few of the fires around here and we too had ash falling but from the August Complex fire.
BTW GREAT STRIPER DAY you 3 had!!!!! Man that's what I call fun, good for you, kinda makes up for the 2 or 3 bite days

First welcome and thx for all CSBA has done and is doing. Some time ago I had the pleasure to be invited many times to come and speak at the Delta Chapter meetings. Always a fun and informative meeting for me and I hope the members enjoyed the seminars.
If I can figure out how to post some pictures I will. Also I can say that the Lauritzen's Yacht Harbor camera is great, as is my friend Chris. BTW last weekend he officiated my daughters wedding. He is a true Gentleman and great friend of the family.
I want to encourage anyone here on this site to take a look at the CSBA site and support them. I know first hand they work so hard for the Striped Bass health and future, also the chapters do great community work.
