So far no info on conditions on the west coast. Fires have impacted many areas. It
would be nice to know where to enjoy a day on the stream or river.

Good luck out there Gary. It's a nice clear day here in the Desert the wind must be blowing your smoke somewhere else. Be safe.
Gary: yes, since you do not show where you live, why not go to Montana or Idaho? I doubt the west coast will be suitable for sevral months. Just Sayin...RJS

Here in northern California the entire area has smoke anywhere from 150 ppm to 500 all of which you don't want to spend too much time outdoors. I was going to striper fish this week end in San Francisco bay but due to the smoke.......No
Yep, smokey and hot here in Walnut Creek. Several of the local lakes have restricted access and their launch ramps closed due to Covid-19, but there are still plenty of places to fish you just need to check ahead.
Carlos (first time posting so hello).
i used to fish stumpy meadows @ frinchmeadows how are they right now
It was ok for a few days but now with all the new fires in the Napa area all has changed. It's been like this all summer. I live along the I80 corridor, half way between Sacramento and San Francisco, about 15 miles SE of Napa. The air is so thick with smoke like being in fog. Plus it is in the high 90s. It hurts to breath after a few minutes outside. No matter which way the wind blows, if at all, we get smoke from a fire somewhere else in the state. Leaving tomorrow for an antelope hunt in Wyoming with my son. Can't wait to breath some fresh air.
