Speaking of which -
I need prayers from you all. Myrna left Thursday evening, and I don’t know when or if she’ll be back. This is the sixth or seventh time she has done this, but only the first time she’s ever actually TOLD me she was leaving. She said she “needed some space”, and was going to stay at a hotel or somewhere for a few days and “decide what to do”. Said she’d pick up some meds for our dog at the vet and stop by with them on Saturday.
At about mid-afternoon, she showed up with a Sheriff’s Deputy and our daughter and SIL. Loaded up a bunch of her stuff, and our dog, and left.
She has a long history of lying, for no reason mostly, other than a few bad decisions she’s made, and I’m a stickler about honesty, so usually when I catch her in a lie, I get angry.
I’ve never laid a hand on her or anything like that, but that doesn’t stop her from telling everyone (including the Sheriff apparently) that she’s “afraid of me”. This cycle of leaving - returning has been going on since 1985, three years after we got married. The last time she left (about 5 years ago) she filed for divorce, but came back, just before the divorce was final, when I kept begging her to.
Her dishonesty and deceit is what nearly all our “fights” are about.
She admits ( most of the time) to lying but acts like she can’t help it. We’ve been to professional counseling numerous times - together, separately, and group, over the years (plus LOTS of praying) but it still seems to only help temporarily. She admits to lying all the time, but blames me for it.
99/100 of her lies are over absolutely meaningless, trivial things that are of no consequence, or would be better if the truth were told.
Anyway… please pray for us, if you will. I know there is nothing too big for God. I’ve tried all I know to try, and everything has failed. I believe it was God’s intervention that caused her to come back five years ago, and Myrna agreed and promised she would NEVER leave again…

Thank everyone for your prayers and good wishes my disk fusion surgery went very good and I'm on the mend. Kinda feels like my head is on a spring and my throat is sore, feels like I swallowed a golf ball, from the surgery but everything went very well as far as I can tell. They went in from the front so I've got about a 5 inch cut on the front of my throat. I think the worst part was the day after when they pulled the drain tube out, probably 6 inches of tube, that kinda smarted. Anyway I feel pretty good, walked close to a quarter mile this morning but to be just a couple days out I feel pretty goodl. The numbness on my hand and fingers is gone so hopefully we got in front of any permanent nerve damage.
