Mike Thats our good federal government at its finest. They are saving you from lead poisining.

Keeps you from eating them. I had some that had ears on them so you could pinch the ears to open them to slide them up or down. Handy but they tended to snag on brush or rocks. They too were soft.

Caught it on a jig and swim bait shad color.

Good morning Doug and all. We're at 16Ā° but at least the wind is light. "A penny saved is, not much" but two pennies is a start. Have a good day and remember to smile while you are updating someone's gas. šŸ„“

Don't have two pennies to rub together. Low of 30 only going up to 36 but sunshine makes it seem warmer.

My dad too! And sorry to say I have followed in his footsteps. Don't do as I do, do as I say.

Speaking of which -
I need prayers from you all. Myrna left Thursday evening, and I donā€™t know when or if sheā€™ll be back. This is the sixth or seventh time she has done this, but only the first time sheā€™s ever actually TOLD me she was leaving. She said she ā€œneeded some spaceā€, and was going to stay at a hotel or somewhere for a few days and ā€œdecide what to doā€. Said sheā€™d pick up some meds for our dog at the vet and stop by with them on Saturday.
At about mid-afternoon, she showed up with a Sheriffā€™s Deputy and our daughter and SIL. Loaded up a bunch of her stuff, and our dog, and left.
She has a long history of lying, for no reason mostly, other than a few bad decisions sheā€™s made, and Iā€™m a stickler about honesty, so usually when I catch her in a lie, I get angry.
Iā€™ve never laid a hand on her or anything like that, but that doesnā€™t stop her from telling everyone (including the Sheriff apparently) that sheā€™s ā€œafraid of meā€. This cycle of leaving - returning has been going on since 1985, three years after we got married. The last time she left (about 5 years ago) she filed for divorce, but came back, just before the divorce was final, when I kept begging her to.
Her dishonesty and deceit is what nearly all our ā€œfightsā€ are about.
She admits ( most of the time) to lying but acts like she canā€™t help it. Weā€™ve been to professional counseling numerous times - together, separately, and group, over the years (plus LOTS of praying) but it still seems to only help temporarily. She admits to lying all the time, but blames me for it.
99/100 of her lies are over absolutely meaningless, trivial things that are of no consequence, or would be better if the truth were told.
Anywayā€¦ please pray for us, if you will. I know there is nothing too big for God. Iā€™ve tried all I know to try, and everything has failed. I believe it was Godā€™s intervention that caused her to come back five years ago, and Myrna agreed and promised she would NEVER leave againā€¦
Thanks for your prayers yā€™all. šŸ™šŸ»

You got my prayers Randy. She needs to find peace in her life and help for her mental state. God can intervene if that is best for her. Praying that you can have peace with the outcome and that your love is sufficient to get you both through this.

Thank everyone for your prayers and good wishes my disk fusion surgery went very good and I'm on the mend. Kinda feels like my head is on a spring and my throat is sore, feels like I swallowed a golf ball, from the surgery but everything went very well as far as I can tell. They went in from the front so I've got about a 5 inch cut on the front of my throat. I think the worst part was the day after when they pulled the drain tube out, probably 6 inches of tube, that kinda smarted. Anyway I feel pretty good, walked close to a quarter mile this morning but to be just a couple days out I feel pretty goodl. The numbness on my hand and fingers is gone so hopefully we got in front of any permanent nerve damage.
Thank everyone for your prayers and good wishes my... (show quote)

Glad you are starting to heal. Hope that fixed the problem. I dealt with severe stenosis in my neck so bad I couldn't turn my head to check traffic. A three procedure nerve ablation gave limited relief followed by over a month of electro acturepuncture. Continued exercises keeps me able to drive. My spinal fusion at L4/L5 May of 2021 was really successful. I only missed two weeks mowing my lawn as family bought me an electric start self propelled Toro. This summer a bulged disc at L3/L4 pinched nerves to left hip/leg. Had a rupture there in 2019 that damaged nerves to right leg. Now my left leg is damaged and neurologic tests were inconclusive. Will determine in August if another fusion is necessary. Lots of gabapentin, tylenol and some Tylenol #4 to survive the pain 'till then. Don't overdo the activity but do the PT for your rehab. Good luck and still praying for you, Ivey.

I remember one tournament at Bastrop State Park in Texas. As a back sweater on a bass boat the first hour or two I couldn't even breath near that stern light. Didn't have face masks back then and my hand kerchief was too small to use as a bandana. Even the cab of the pickup got full at the launch.
