Boy oh Boy it was a TUFF day on the water.
I’m blaming it on the solar eclipse and I’m sticking to it.
I ended up with 10 today in 20 feet of water on a brush pile plus, I fought a huge striper to the boat which ended up breaking my 6lb. Mono but it sounded good when my reel was singing.
I thought I wasn’t going back to Oconee this soon but I love the Challenge.

It was a grind today at the lake, I only fished it 3 times and the stumps are everywhere.
I finally got on some slabs but I only caught 4 of them and a total of 28 a few were small.
It was a new experience but the live scope did its thing with my hot pink jig head and two tune hot pink grub.
I will be going back one day but West Point is my main stopping point.
I found them from 12 to 20 feet deep near the dam on brush piles.

Saw,
I live on a 10 acre lake with Bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish.
So yes I can cast from where I'm sitting,
LOL.

Well, I’m not superstitious by a long
shot but while on the water my friend pulled out a 🍌on the boat and we couldn’t catch a crappie to save our lives, lol.
Making a long story short we started fishing at 9:30 and didn’t get on them until 12:30 but they only wanted one particular lure that I never used at West Point before but I remember when it’s sunny this jig is awesome when this fluorescent green with red flakes and chartreuse Jig head hit the water it looks like a bleeding Minnow.
From 1pm to 3:30 I caught 62 crappie.
Most were 10”s but that myth don’t live on my boat I just had to go into my arsenal bag and get em.
Have a great weekend everyone.

This is a photo of my Garmin 106 sv with my live scope plus setup.
I sat it up in amber and in Auto medium instead of manual.
This setting is perfect and every time I go fishing I never have to change anything but my distance from 75 feet to 100 if I’m scoping for new brush piles etc.

Garmin live scope is the way to go but you have to make sure it’s installed correctly, but before you purchase it, get with someone on the water to show you how it works these you will be one step ahead of the a beginner, if you can’t find anyone to do that then get on YouTube and search for what you’re looking for.
