Give Dorman Pond a try, there’s pretty good trout from the bank there.

What a great day on Diamond Lake. Eleven pounds in 7 trout. They're beautiful, big fish. We released 3 that were average size. Chartreuse mysis bugs worked for us.

Nice catch, thanks for the pics.

This one goes back 20 years. Salmon River at Otis. Down at Lincoln City. This small River doesn't grow them this big anymore. The hole I caught these two in was closed to the public long ago. Was a hella day.

Big one went 42 LB. The other was 30 something. I fought one in there for a half an hour before losing it. God knows how big it was. I fished with 8 ft Lamiglass, 30 lb super braid and Garcia Ambassadeur 6000.

What a catch! Sad that it’s a thing of the past though.

Charter member of the Original Columbia River Bass and Walleye Club in The Dalles, Member of and fished for Budweiser's National Fishing Team Captained by John Maynard. I am generally very short with my texts but, you got me started. Walleye and salmon are my area favs, working on the walley part here. Used to haul em in by the live well full below JD Dam, especially at night.
Particularly looking for good mid week plunking spots. I have a lot of time on my hands. I've done my years of volunteering and that makes me more selfish with my time. My favorite cause to support is "Get Hooked", look Deshaun Berry up and offer any donations of gear in support. I live with my Electrician son. 2 Bachelor's with a 16.5 Smoker Alaskan with 2 ft itis.
I have more gear than I will ever use but I'm going to try. Like I said, you got me started, but now I'm done, it's been nice for me to remember some of my youth. Keep em tight! Be well.

Welcome aboard. We all get a bit long winded. Now that you have all that time and gear you best put it to good use and post frequent pics.

71 y/o with a 20’ Hewescraft Sportsman set up for salmon fishing looking for a like minded person who wants to fish several days / week and has experience on the waters of the PNW. I often fish alone, but for a myriad of reasons I would prefer to have someone to fish with. Typically, this is the time of year I like to fish the channel. If you interested send me a message and we’ll go from there.

I, like yourself fish alone a lot and the channel is familiar to me for sturgeon but I always fished the banks due to no boat. I’m 54 and on disability so no schedule to keep me tied down. If you want to go fish some let me know. My cell is 971-280-9685

Lake finally got rid of the Ice. My Daughter and Husband asked me if I wanted to go try a sit on the lake. My little guy Wyatt wanted to go fishing, so we went. Cold, with a couple wind and snow flurries involved, but still a great day outdoors. Had 2 hits but no Takers, and good memories. And that’s what it is All about!

Looks like you all had a blast and somewhat keep warm. Thanks for the picks.

Making a stance out of principle is supposed to have sound logic, or something close to it. What I hear you saying is your cheep. We have a beautiful state because of those reasonable fees.

If you were in the Portland area I would go with you all the time, hopefully you’ll find someone down there. Good luck!

The Trask, Kilches, and Wilson rivers are all good for trout and steelhead.

Your right about most, I just don’t like how people will leave their trash as well as violating the rules. It’s good to hear someone like yourself is in the right mind.
