Awesome. I use to fish there from October until at least New Years. Garbage hole ( fish wildlife guys called it )about 1 mile downstream from hatchery. Caught a lot of fish there as well as way upstream a ways below the spawning beds. I wasn't happy with state when they started killing the huge Chinook that ran up stream of hatchery. My personal best King Chinook was from up there. 55" long about 64 lbs. Lots of great hens with nice eggs in the G Hole before bunch of rain.

The Salmon I am talking about is in my Avatar with my daughter in a 1zee.

The garbage hole is my favorite place to fish for steelhead. I have caught lots of fish there myself. The trail has eroded away The trees have fallen that were in the middle of the hole or were washed out by the floods, and I haven't been down there in a couple of years. I'm just getting too old to climb that steep trail.
