My Shimano Stradic Cl4 has been fantastic for redfish. Meets all your criteria, I think.

The two pectoral fins on either side just behind the head also have sharp spikes in most catfish that I have caught. Need to just be careful when handling them.

I think working a Zara Spook across calm, early morning water, salt or fresh is up there with my all time favorites.

6-8 ft floro leader with circle hook. Free line live shrimp work best. Tight line, Don’t set the hook, etc. good luck
