Been here 36 yrs when reds are running and they are fireweed bloom has nothing to do with red run, never caught a pink in Russian and silvers coming behind reds as always Nothings changed it’s always been this way… we dipnetted our reds … 105 in four hours at mouth of Kenai which all reds heading to Russian have to navigate, along with commercial fleet and somehow have always had a bounty for combat fisherman 👍

Sounds like a helluva lot of whining to me 108 degrees 😢 wind again😢 98. 78 and again whining. And continue to write and whine… pitiful. Did u wake up? Stand up right? Should be thankful After all u live in a state that’s the second largest state and if we cut Alaska in half u would be the third largest. Now u can whine ! O we use Texas fish for bait here. I’ll stay here, which now 40 degrees troll for winter kings, as my crab pots are picking up Dungeness crab. Gotta go grandson has a halibut Thankful for what u have. I am…. Wife and I wanna semi retire and get back to Crappie, Perch, and walleye lil boat on golden pond

As a kid growing up on Great Lakes flooding an issue as it is today. We would walk in tennis shoes and cutoffs through chest deep water as 10-15 yr olds shoot carp with our lil fiberglass bows and 5cent arrows no string chase ‘‘em down I’m not exaggerating some of these carp were 15-30 pounds. The fun we had almost made up for all the sandbags we had to make to stay safe almost back then lots of empty lots could not dike those so ….. yeah great fun

Born and raised on lk st Clair back when it wasn’t a parking lot. Been here in great white north …Alaska and she’s turning into a parking lot.. thinking about a motor home and bouncing around lower 48 wife and I fish may sound crazy but sick of halibut, and way to much salmon. Crappie perch and wallleye would be a great way to ride off into sunset👍 On golden Pond. Would make us so so happy! Pops
