What GLA said with rubber legs, I’ve made body’s out of flip flops before, they really hit hard when they feel the foam rubber.
Has anybody heard about gathering sand crabs and boiling and freezing them to use for another surf fishing outing. I’ve read that they turn an orange red and that mimics the sand crabs with eggs which helps attract fish.

I grew up fishing lakes and rivers of Northern California, and fishing Santa Cruz and Monterey, fast forward I’ve lived in Carlsbad for over 33 years. I love to surf fish and would like to learn how to fly fish the surf, I grew up fly fishing fresh water for bass and trout. Looking forward to learning a different skill set in the surf.
