Thanks for the tip. Have a great day.
Nice one Mike. Don't go gettin frostbite my friend.
Amen brother. Well said; peace be with you.
Mike wishing you well with landing a few big ones. Ever try soaking the livers in garlic powder. It's my go to; seems to attract them more so up here in Northeast PA. Waiting for the water to warm up some. I got the itch with hhe cold weather starting to clear out. Hope I have better luck this year finding chicken liver around my area. Stay safe.
sorry about that. Thanks for the info.
Not sure what part of Tennessee your fishing in. A few years back a friend of ours lives in Big Sandy, Benton County the Northwestern part of the state. Three of us went out on the river near Paris, TN and was using chicken livers. We went through all the bait we had and wound up with 51 catfish in a matter of 4 hours. The largest one weighed 13 lbs.; a day to remember.
Wanna catch some biggies try noodling in the state of Missouri and Oklahoma.
Good luck in the future; tight lines.
How awesome was that video. That's what real Americans do! Heart of gold.
Hello there, Carfishhunter. What is that contraption you have your pole in? Never saw anything like it.
Thanks.
Mike thanks for the heads up. The only issue I have is the availability of chicken liver in my area. Been looking in all the supermarkets throughout the county for over the past year. What's going on? I have some really great success using the liver in garlic powder (after draining the blood off). A little messy but what the heck.
Ranger that one would of put up one hell of a fight. That's okay you'll get him next time out.
There's always ones that stare in you in the face laughs and swims by the bait.. like saying not today buddy.
Tight lines, thanks
The one hanging on the wall caught with 4 lb test and landed days later is exactly how long dedicated fishermen would hang in there for. Tight lines! Thanks Barnacles for starting our day off well.

it sure is a Biggie. would love to hook one that size. one day I'll get down to the bay; when passing by driving tractor trailer I say to myself got to get there. From a suburb of Northeast Philly, PA. Never did buy a boat which my wife keeps trying to talk me inti it. Mainly fish from the banks. Great catch, congrats. Tight lines.
Seem to me the Moon phases are hit and miss. Tide times when fishing in a river, bay, and ocean - few hours prior to high tide usually works pretty good. Early morning, or late evening. Of course sometimes outgoing tide.
My go to is a fishing barometer. Hour or two prior to a rain storm wherever.
I don't have too much success with salt water. It helps if you have a boat.
Mostly fish for Cats(enjoy the fight), Large and smallies bass. Have to go with catch and release in my areas due to water conditions. Can trust the waters about one to two hours away.
Sorry to be rambling on. First time long time. Tight lines! Happy New Year!
