Good morning, ranger, I could do that, if the ice would melt.

Carp fishing is a blast and they’ll test your gear to the max. They don’t have quit in their DNA. I use frozen sweet corn and throw several hands full out to attract them. I’ll put enough corn on my hook to fill it and cast it out where you threw the corn. I also use a slip sinker. Good luck and hang on tight, if you catch one of them big ones you will definitely have your hands full!

Caught this last spring, just under 15 pounds, felt like 30 when fighting it.

What do you use for bait? I like rolled oatmeal mixed with cream corn and powered strawberry jello on a spring feeder, after the feeder a 2/0 circle hook with sweet corn kernals. I plan on using bollies on a hair rig this year too.

I use frozen sweet corn. I throw several hand fulls out, put corn on my hook to fill it and cast out where I threw the corn. There are hundreds of recipes that will catch carp. I use corn because it’s quick and easy.
