If I have to tie a rope around my waist and tried off to a truck to be safe fishing, I ain't fishing my life is worth more than that. Rope around a leg, arm or neck no way Jose

I’m with you on that ranger, ice or no ice, if tying a rope around me is the only way to be safe, I’ll stay home. I like fishing, but not that much…

Nice pictures. Looks like Mirror Lake

Yep, the first lake was Mirror. The second is the one just around the corner, I think it's Pass.

And after you arise, remind yourself throughout the day. I have to in order to stay positive.

Great post as always, my friend. It’s interesting how focusing on being grateful makes life so much better. The thought that someone always has it worse never really makes me feel better, but being grateful for what I have, friends, family and all the rest always make me feel better.

Another icon from my youth has passed. Rest in peace Tommy Smothers. You brought much laughter and joy to our lives.

Man you guys are so old!!! I was just talking with someone the other day about having discussions in elementary school, I mean like second or third grade, about the latest episodes of Gilligan’s Island, and The Beverly Hillbillies. It seems like I was married when the Smothers Brothers had their show. I’m probably mistaken about that, but it seems like it was just a couple years ago. It is hard to beat Johnathon Winters, he was hilarious.

Crappies are a species I haven’t caught yet. I’m hoping to change that in 2024. Thought I’d make a trip to Pineview when there’s enough ice. Good luck, send some pictures when you get into them!

Nice job FishHook! I never made it out this week. I’ve got to work tomorrow, so it looks like I won’t make it out before the month ends.

Once again you have shared your wisdom and goodness. It’s nearly tomorrow, I hope you had a wonderful day. I’m grateful to be able to call you all friends.

Wow! We don’t get perch like that here in Utah. That’s a beautiful perch. I’d have to have arms ten feet long to hold out a perch from around here to make it look that big. Nice catch Woodie!!!

Good morning Doug and all to follow and a very Merry Christmas to all. Got some good one liners there Doug

I’m as usual a day (and a half?) late and at least a dollar short. I hope you all had a great Christmas spent with those you love. We went to my daughter’s house. We had the entire family except my second son, his wife and daughter. Had a great time. Happy New Year, friends!

Always there are rules. Rules can make us free if we follow them.

Thank you oh wise one!!! You are, as always, right on point. A world without rules is anarchy, not freedom.

Wait, I don't understand that statement, it did make me laugh, but then I changed my mind...
