Hi! Have you ever fished at Shasta lake ? I see you go fishing out of HMB. I’m right up the street !

Hi all! I grew up in Orange County Ca so I spent every chance I could fishing off of Huntington Pier, Newport Pier and Surf fishing at Huntington Beach . ( does grunion hunting count as fishing ?)
Moved to the Bay Area 15 yrs ago and have access to Pacifica pier where I caught a huge salmon the first year but it got too crowded so I don’t fish there anymore .
We’ve been renting houseboats at Shasta lake but we aren’t catching any fish . Mainly because we don’t know what to use. Im a “ worm on a hook with a bobber “ kinda gal . My bf tosses in a lure reels it in and changes the lure every single time . Ugh .
Now that you have to use barbless hooks will the live worm even stay on?
Should I even be using live bait or power bait ? Bobber or no bobber ?

I heard it was down 95ft! Wish us luck cuz we are going end of May also . I think that means we will be closer to the fish !
