Hello Bass4me! I live on Monkey Island at Grand Lake and also have a Ranger boat. Moved here two years ago from Oregon. I am definitely a better salmon and steelhead fisherman than I am a bass fisherman but enjoy the thrill of bass fishing. If you are interested in bass fishing on Grand, please send me a message. I usually fish for LM but do catch a few white bass. I don't have any data that says this is true, but I seem to catch more white bass on Grand Lake in the May-June time frame.
What will you be fishing for? There will be quite a few bass fisherman on the lake this weekend for the Nichols Marine Tour Series, so Wolf Creek boat ramps which are close to Sailboat bridge will be busy.

Thanks for the story! I have never been to Arkansas, and my brother-in-law and I are going to Crater of Diamonds state park in Arkansas next spring. It is the only diamond mine open to the public in the United States. Have not hunted for rocks since I was a kid in Oregon, where we found lots of agates but never anything as cool as a diamond. Should be fun.

Congratulations and great pictures! From the sand dunes in a picture, were you fishing on the Oregon central coast? I lived in Medford, Oregon until last year and did a lot of fishing out of Brookings. Sure miss it!
