Did you hear the one about the constipated Mathematician?
He worked it out with a pencil.
Finally broke my losing streak. Caught this 24" redfish at Calaveras Lake.
Fishing is getting better here at Canyon Lake, Tx , but still no keepers.
I'm not sure what kind of fish they were but pretty sure they were bass. I am gonna try the jerk bait and the chrome rattle trap. What about live bait? I really never caught nothing off of live bait except at the coast. Thanks for all the replies. I am gonna get some jerk bait today.
Went to the lake today. Just inside the mouth of the river. Biggest bass ever all over, they were coming up to the surface and then rolling on side and going back down. All around the boat everywhere and not one bite. Tried every lure in the tackle box. Deep shallow tried the fancy spray nothing. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks, that's what I usually catch at Canyon Lake, but you can't keep em unless they are 14" so going on 4 months with no keepers. Guadalupe don't have a minimum length. But I guess 10" is too little to keep anyways.
Is this a largemouth bass or a Guadalupe Bass?? It's only 10 inches so tricky camera angle makes it look bigger.
Finally starting to catch bass at Canyon Lake, Tx It took forever but now they seem like biting early in the day. So glad summer is almost over.
Well if you do get to play, they need to inform everyone else you will be there and not be vaccinated. Giving them the option of not showing up.
I didn't realize Calaveras charged so much. I called them and you're right. For me my son and the boat 35 bucks. Plus an hour drive to get there. I been watching YouTube videos of Calaveras lake and this guide Mello has a youtube site OCD Fishing and he goes out every Thursday and he has 45 min videos, but he catches 4 to 5 redfish 25 to 35 inches long and around 18 pounds. I copied everything he does, just have not got to calaveras yet. If I could catch just 1 or 2 like that I would be happy. It's 300 a year to fish Calaveras a year if you get the family yearly pass. I don't know if it's worth it. Only way would be if you could guarantee catching fish like Mello does. Check out some of his videos. They are recent videos too.

Easiest way to check for a draw. Remove positive battery cable. Get a test light. connect test light clip to positive battery terminal on battery. Next put tip of test light on the disconnected positive battery cable. So test light is in-between the battery and the cable completing the circuit. If test light lights up you have a draw.
I'm having the same luck. wait until Fall and Spring then you will catch fish.
Rekoreen website ended up being a scam that just takes money. I should have researched them before I ordered. The email for them is linked to scams and the website is less than a month old.

I have only fished on a boat once unassisted and have never had a boat before. I have one question though, where do you go on somewhere like a big lake? Do you go to random places and hope for the best or is there more to it than that?
