Robert J: I am starting to agree with youon the Braid/Flourocarbon combination. No one has responded with any solid reason to use co/poolymer or flourcarbon as the main line, Mang have sugessted its quality as a leader.
Thanks for your input. garry

Grisly 17. Thank you for your infomative response. I will do more research and maybe try a spool. My experience with Fourocarbon has been memory, memory and more memory. Thanks again, Garry

Does any one use Co-Polymer line? Does it have the same coil/memory issues as Flourocarbon line? Any advantages or negatives about this product line? Thanks Garry

No one was born with a fishing rod in their hand. We all have to learn or be taught how to fish. My suggestion would be to go to your local bait and tackle shop and discuss your issues with them. Most shop will give you good advice as they will want to make you a customer. Don't Give Up...reach out and get help. Garry

In the mid 1960's there was a Turnpike between Dallas and Fort Worth. This Pike was built with the understanding that once paid for it would become an open freeway. And by golly the state of Texas kept it's and the toll booths disapeared to the amazement of communters who traveled the road frequently. Have never seen this happen since.

I agree with the hotdogs for channel cats. You can juice em up some with strawberry or cherry jello mixed in a ziplok bag. Check out the multiple YouTube videos for hotdogs and jello recipes,

Thank you for sharing the picture of the bobbers. They really do work when night fishing and the cats are up in the water column. Garry

$15.00 is very reasonable for reel cleaning.

It is a slip rig. They come in a gigar shape and are 6, 8. and 10 inch lengths. Great for suspending cut baits fot catfihing in the water columm>

Minnows will work. A wad of worms suspended under a 8 inch cork in the mid water column after dark works well surprising well also. During the day attach your live minnow a carolina slip sinker rig and fish it with enough leader that the minnow can swim a foot or so off the bottom. Good Luck, Garry

I have owned the Bullet for about a year now after seeing a fellow fisherman using one. He said it wes he goto reel for light spinners and lures. He let me cast it a couple of times and I went home and ordered one for myself. I love it. It is certaing not one of the cheap reels. At $100 it is a class act and worth every penny. No one should critisize this reel unless they have had it in hand and cast it a few times. I plan on purcasing five more for the grandchildren who all love fishing. This reel is solid. Enough said. Water was being severely rationed in the Dallas Area in the Mid 50's.The only source of water was old Lake Dallas. Then the rains came and flooded a lot of neighborhoods. After that the Army Corps of Engineers started building many of the lakes that Texans are enjoying today.
