I love it when you guys post pics like this. Makes me look good when I show my lovey. I down to 4 spinning combos, 1 old zebco spin cast & 2 fly rods.
Probably better to have a good laugh than be crying over all your good equipment being stolen.
Head to your nearest Wal Mart. They have a good selection priced less than $2.50. I continue to have good luck with spinners, mini & micro cranks. I fish mainly lakes and rivers here on western NC. Was just out this morning, a couple of little bass & a crappie.
A good morning. Like the title says. I used a Wal Mart $ 1.97 micro crank bait for the bass and red breast & a 1.97 yellow spinner for the other bass. And using snap swivels. I change em out a lot Easier for me. Caught on Zebco Spyn ultra lite spinning and a Daiwa Samuri ( Buy one get one half off at Dick’s ). Soooo all you newbies .... Enjoy the sport of fishing. Ya don’t need the finest equipment just patience. It’s a life long endeavor. Right lines all.
Anybody have any success using the mini ( 1” - 1.5” ) crank baits for smallies. I usually use them for pans & crappies. Also, what’s the consensus on plastic worms - Texas rig vs wacky rigs. I’m 50/50.
You certainly should be able to find a decent setup for $700. I lake fish ( river occasionally) in a sit in 10’ sundophin kayak I picked up for $150. Usually carry a flyy rod and 1 or 2 spin cast rigs. Fly rod no problem. Just need to adjust casting technique. Float & Fish 👍
