Being a Harley rider also I couldn't wait to find the correct answer so I googled it:
Daimler and Maybach produced the first motorcycle in Germany made out of a wooden frame bicycle and a single
cyclinder motor that went 10 mph. I guess that makes my 1984 Electra Glide feel not so ancient after all!

The lake is in Pope county to help you get in.
The MDNR is still trying to make a walleye lake out of it with 3 million fry per year but if you go to the
fisheries survey the pike and yellow bullheads still rule the day just like back in the 50s.

curious what your post is about. I grew up on Lake Minnewaska the first 18 years of my life.

I haven't been to the Sturgis event but rode my Harley through Rushmore spring of '64. Big ole bull bison started down the high cutslope just in front of me. Brake or gas? I hit the gas and he crossed 20 feet behind me. Maybe I shouldn't push my Black Hills further?

This young fella was working late at the office. As he started home and got onto the freeway, he called his wife to let her know he would be home soon. She said "be careful dear, the TV just warned that some nut was driving the wrong way on the freeway". He said "there are hundreds of them driving the wrong way here".
At 79 I'm still driving my harley and agree with Fish n Fool that I will pull my boat to the boat launch to my dying day. Probably just drive slower and slower. Or get one of those self driving rigs. I wonder if they can back a boat down the boat launch.

Braid has no cushioning stretch like mono. If you are casting heavier lures with too light braid, then backlashes will often break off your lure. If you are getting breaks on lighter lures, then the other suggestions offered in this post
apply. I have broken off heavy muskie lures with 80 lb braid. Of course, they usually have been non-floaters.

Thanks Fredfish. The moon chart pretty well nullifies fussing over trying to catch moon phases. I've experienced great bites on phases and next time--best of all worlds-- I fished the phase right before a thunderstorm coming in and nothing.
So maybe I shouldn't worry about them. I suppose Joe Bucher would probably debate you over it.

Don’t get me wrong I’m a walleye guy! I live on the shore of Lake Erie possible the best walleye fishery in the world. I love them! But you’ve never had catfish from good water prepared properly. It’s as good as any fish out there. My kids prefer it over walleye , perch, or crappie.

I knew someone would say that because I have been corrected exactly that way a few times. I just haven't experienced it yet the few times I've tried it.

I don't blame the pike for not eating them. I've eaten two bullheads in my life--the first one and the last one. Used to catch them as a kid and give them subsequently to a neighbor. On a cruise ship to Alaska they served different fish every noon buffet; which I enjoyed every day. On Friday it was catfish which I had never tasted. I ate one piece and pushed the second under the potato peeling. Thank goodness God created walleye.
