We are currently planning our annual ride to the Sturgis motorcycle rally this year. This will be our sixth ride there and probably our last. Guys are getting a little older. Just wondering if there are any riders here on the stage that have been there before or might be thinking about planning a trip there this year. Love to hear from u.We have done it all, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons,Blackhills, Mt. Rushmore, Devils Postpile, etc. never ever a bad day on the road! We don’t ride hard, take time to smell the roses! We have two rules, don’t trailer your bike and leave your lady at home!!!!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Sounds like a great trip Rich. I've never made it out there myself, but with my back issues it would take me a week to get there. Have a great ride and keep the shiny side up.

Never made it to Sturgis, but I did go to Daytona Bike Week in 84. It was the year after I moved to the Charleston SC area.

Take spear fish canon up to town of spear fish. One of the most scenic canons you will ever ride.

Cool way to do it. Especially the fly home part. It is a beautiful state. 5 hours drive from where I live. My wife and I are up there all the time.

Yeah not dealing with the long ride there and back made for a great trip. Home in five hours rather then five days and reminiscing with your buddies over a few cocktails at the airport and on the flight home was priceless!

I haven't been to the Sturgis event but rode my Harley through Rushmore spring of '64. Big ole bull bison started down the high cutslope just in front of me. Brake or gas? I hit the gas and he crossed 20 feet behind me. Maybe I shouldn't push my Black Hills further?

While riding through Yellowstone on one of our trips to Stugis, the road started vibrating terribly, thought my bike was breaking down! Came around the next bend and over a hundred bison were crossing the road! Thank god we slowed down! They were not going to stop for us!
