Yes a metal casting spoon. It was windy and the water was rough so I used a 1 1/2 oz. spoon. Biting on the surf side and inlet side it was fun.
Hope to get a few smaller ones in the next few days. Thanks.
Thanks DC that sounds interesting. Will give this recipe a try.
Thanks Fred. If you know of a good recipe for blues please let me know. The ones I tried haven't worked out so far.
Had been struggling to find any fish at the Inlet Bridge in DE. Caught these guys this morning along with a few smaller ones. It was a good day!!!
Depending on the current usually 3oz or 4 oz will hold bottom. Fishbites and sand fleas have been working for kingfish, spot and some pompano.
Nice fish Jeremy, sounds really good!!!
Nice fish and beautiful spot Fred!
That's a swedish fish! Thought you were fishing in Jersey lol!
If you run out of green crabs, the guys here in DE use sand fleas (sand crabs) and do pretty well. Good luck!
Well Florida, those would be just that, memories. The weakies have been scarce around here for the last few years. I have heard of a few being caught but not like the old days. It's been a slow year for fishing, the blues never really made their blitz this summer and flounder are hard to come by.
