Definitely a Bowfin! I've caught plenty on Florida's Harris Chain of Lakes while fishing for bass. Caught a 16 pounder right off my dock and wow did it fight hard!! Thought it might be a Florida record size Bowfin, so, filled a 50 gal garbage can with water, put the fish in it and looked up record Bowfin. And, it was 3 lb shy... Record was 19 lb. Most of the time we kill them, but I put this back in the water so he could grow up🤣!!

Sorry... don't know Blue Parrot, but I wish I did! And, my new friend, I'm from Findlay, Ohio. Been down here since 1985. Used to fish Lake Erie for Walleye and Perch! Great Fishing back then!! Moved to Orlando and worked for Orange County 27 years until I retired in 2012. Bought this place on the canal in 2001 and just used it for weekend get aways from City life. Love the Chain of Lakes!! After retirement and moving here fulltime, I got a partime job working for Florida Fish & Wildlife 20-30 hrs aweek as a Creel Technician. My job was to go out on Big & Little Lake Harris and interview anglers about their catches and document and then check licences and answer questions they may have about limits or other things about the lakes. Greatest job I ever had!!! Retired from that last summer. Now a fulltime angler and know all the best fishing spots!!!

I'm proud to be part of your group! I've been looking at all your posts everyday for about a year and love them and learn something new every day from them! I live on a canal off Lake Eustis and fish the Harris Chain of Lakes and catch lots of Bass, Crappie, Catfish, Bluegill and Shellcracker. Grandson caught a 14 lb 7 oz bass off our dock! He always out fishes me! Hope we can post some good catches!!
