Was my go to for many years. Caught tons of bass with his "system". The only problem I ever had was the hooks (I used the weedless super slider version) were super thin. Worked great for light tackle but as I used stiffer rods and heavier mono I lost a few really nice fish as the hooks would flex. As long as you stay with lighter tackle they work great. I understand he makes them now with a heavier gauge wire as an option. I have since moved onto other products to fill the gap. But have fond memories of those days.

can u imagine the cost for two people to go there. 5 grand for a coach flight, 800 to a grand a nite for hotel, 200 to another grand for a game ticket and crazy restaurant prices. AND I can’t find a beer and god forbid if I look at a pretty lady the wrong way.

Your in worse shape there if you look at a pretty guy the wrong way

I think the big-o was the first "alphabet plug" or maybe the first plastic one. And the spot was the lipless one. Good lure as well

I had a pedal kayak and came to the same conclusion you had. Great to fish off, too much for me to "bike it". I will stick to a paddle or electric motor

Bed bug island is a tiny little island just as your heading out of kings cove bending towards the right. Anywhere within 100 yds of that little island is weedbeds in about 6-9ft of water. Just dont go past that island as it gets deeper and you lose the weeds. Stay on the kings cove side of it. Anywhere out there are weeds. Lots of pickerel and bass with a texas rigged worm

Had a Billy Westmorland spinning worm rod. 1 was boron and the other was graphite. Same size and feel, cost was a little bit more for the boron. Wasnt able to tell the difference between them besides boron was blue and graphite was gray. Still have them.

Used to go up there 1 week almost every year. Beautiful country, great fishing. Took a few years off but returned again about 10 yrs ago. The goby took over all the fishing spots i had in the river itself. They were like locusts, i mean stacked on top of each other. It really soured me on it to be honest. I understand if you get a calm day and can head out on Ontario they still get great smallies there. Been out on the lake in a bass boat but wouldnt do it on a windy day. Take your life in your hands if you do. Still nice there but my judgement is clouded because of the great memories of yesteryear.

Fished with Roland Martin once. Was a nice guy and does really say "SON", when he sets the hook . I heard ( without any documentation or proof) that Hank Parker isnt too fond of " Yankees". Again no proof
