The soccer World Cup starts tomorrow. Am I the only one on the stage that is in to it or are there a few others out there?

My friend, I can’t wait for the matches to begin! Hoping that The USA goes deep into the tournament. Unfortunately as a first generation Italian American it’s tough not having them in the tournament. (Italy)
Go USA !!! this might be the last time we see two of the greatest to ever play in the World Cup..Messi and Renaldo

Try a game or two if you have free time. You might find it fun.

As you said first generation, I'm American German. I would like to see USA go far but I think they'll advance out of group stage and then fall out.

I was shocked Italy didn't qualify. I'm hoping Germany goes far but they are not a favorite this time around.

I think Qatar is an awful place to have the WC.

Still Above I'm glad to have a fellow stager watching things with me.

My bad my better half just corrected me… second generation. I agree that Qatar was a REAL bad choice as the host nation.

Yeah.. i rooting for the host team Qatar. I’m hoping if they win they might party a little and ease up a bit Maybe let a fan enjoy a beer or two while sitting in Stadium with 90 degree temps.

They just said on Fox News, the only ones that can drink are the wealthy. I’ll watch it just to see if the fans rebel. It’s a terrible place to have a championship tournament and then not allow everyone to have a beer or two.

can u imagine the cost for two people to go there. 5 grand for a coach flight, 800 to a grand a nite for hotel, 200 to another grand for a game ticket and crazy restaurant prices. AND I can’t find a beer and god forbid if I look at a pretty lady the wrong way.

No I cannot even imagine spending that much money on any sporting event. I guess that’s why only the wealthy are allowed to drink. Not worth it.

If you get the chance watch the FIFA special on Netflix about the bribes involved from Russia for the 2018 WC and Qatar for this year. Unbelievable corruption in that organization. You may get the chance to go as the next one is scattered around North America.

I’ve got a BIL that goes all over the world to watch the World Cup. He was at some kind of soccer event in London the day the queen died. Big soccer fan… 🐟on
