The anti motion sickness wrist bands work like a charm. Put them both on, one per wrist, before you go to bed the night before your trip. Position the button so that it exerts pressure on the medial nerve, just on the thumb side of the centerline of your inner wrist. Leave them on until you are back at the dock. I will repeat some of the things already mentioned because they are important to ensure a table worthy fish, then add my own two cents worth. First, bleeding them once caught and icing them down right away is imperative for top quality. More on this at the end. After filleting them, do remove the dark meat - any PCBs, mercury, or other nasty crap accumulates in the dark meat and fat. Leave the skin on, and like any oily fish, it is fantastic smoked.
My nephew is a commercial fisherman who tends his nets twice daily. As he brings up fish, he bleeds them and plunges them into a seawater and ice slurry. When he arrives at the fish pier, he is always paid the highest category - sushi grade.
Also, possibly herring, alewives. Also good striper bait, also good table fish.
