My wife wore her Ozark Trail polarized sunglasses today at the Mississippi in Hastings Minnesota. Just because I bought my 2022 fishing license I put a line in the water but I could have had as much luck casting into the snow bank. We did see a lot of Eagles, geese and ducks.

People that use credit cards for everything and put their credit card info on line and plug them into gas pumps deserve to get hacked. They have been warning for the last 10-15 years that it's not safe and it is just a matter of time before someone rips you off or steals your identity. Here are just a few of the facts.
There were 650,572 cases of identity theft in 2019.
Those aged 30 to 39 reported the most cases of identity theft last year.
With over 270,000 reports, credit card fraud was the most common type of identity theft last year and more than doubled from 2017 to 2019.
Almost 165 million records containing personal data were exposed through data breaches in 2019.
1. The U.S. is #1 in Cases of Credit Card Fraud
It’s great to be on top — unless it’s regarding credit card fraud. According to the latest Nilson Report, the United States eclipses every country on the planet as the most credit fraud-prone, with 38.6% of all reported card fraud losses in 2018.
And how much was lost in the illegal transactions? A cool $9.47 billion.

Walmart sells at least 5 different quality sun glasses for fishing. I have tried the 3 lowest priced which are Ozark Trail for $4.61 Sports Wrap for $12.99 and my son bought me a more expensive pair of Berkley sun glasses that float. From what I can tell the Ozark Trail polarized sunglasses let me see into the water better than any of the rest. Because they are wrap around and form fitting they do as good a job as any in shading my eyes from the sun. I keep 2 pair in the boat, 2 pair in my car and a pair in my truck. I also bought my wife a pair that she thinks are great because she can see the fish in the water too. If you break them or drop them in the lake your only out $5. I do have a pair of prescription sun glasses I wear for driving, but I passed my last drivers test without them. I am not bragging, but pushing 70 and being able to read the newspaper without glasses I feel blessed.

It's good to see I got someone's attention! Thanks for the response, I am happy to know that someone reads my comments. I had no idea that biologists had studied the effects of Bass fishing during spawn in Florida. I lived in Altamonte Springs with the Little Wekiva River in my back yard, but never fished there. The first thing I saw was a sign saying "NO SWIMMING ALLIGATORS" and about 100 yards away another sign said "CAUTION VENOMOUS SNAKES IN TALL GRASS". I only lasted about 4 months before I moved back up north where you can go into ANY body of water and not worry about becoming some dinosaurs lunch, and the odds of getting bit by a poisonous snake are about the same as winning the lottery, of which I have NEVER bought a ticket. I must admit I am thinking about going Bass fishing in Southern MO. or maybe Arkansas because I have read a few stories about monster Bass there. The state record in MN is 8lbs. I have caught a few in the 7lb. range but I would love to catch a 10 pounder. Thanks again for responding. The following link is something I have made up in my spare time to show some of my fishing experiences, and the lake I live on.

What state's allow you to murder bass before they spawn? The bass season in Minnesota is 2 weeks after everything except musky to be sure the females are not traumatized before they lay eggs in a nest. I guess if an area has more bass than they want, disrupting the spawn makes sense. Did I piss anyone off????

I lived in Libertyville for a while in a previous life. I sold roofing in Illinois and my father ran the Old Town Ale House on North Ave and Wells in Chicago from the 60's until he died about 10 years ago.
Countryside Lake is a man made lake located in Lake County Illinois created in 1926. It is about 120 acres
with a maximum depth of 10 feet. Try Lake Link to find the maps and fishing reports for local lakes. If its well known and fished much you should get some info on it. Countryside Lake is not listed, but here is a link to Diamond Lake which is a couple of miles from Countryside Lake just pan over to it and you will see a contour map.

Gibbs? Is that the guy that never makes a mistake, physically assaults his subordinates, murdered some Mexican in cold blood and covered it up? You don't see him messing with Ziva, he doesn't want to get his ass kicked by a girl. I know a lot of guys that think they are always right but most of them are not as rich as Mark Harmon.

Your fish finder is not misleading you, my guess is I didn't catch 2% of the fish that swam up to my bait, nipped at it and swam away. I use my camera in the summer by suspending it from a empty gallon milk jug at the edge of the weed bed and drop off. I try to cast near it to see if I see anything following my lures. It's not very easy and I am lucky to even see my lure. It works better to still fish with sucker minnows or fat heads near the camera, but when you see a fish hit the minnow your caught up in the moment catching the fish, rather than recording the catch. The CFish camera was the cheapest one I could find at $200.00. For another $200 or so you can by a colored camera, but I don't have $400.00 to through away on another toy. I wish I could post videos on here, some of them are really fun too.

Just about time to buy my 2021 fishing license. This is $25 I look forward to spending because it signals the start of another season of pure entertainment, and the end of ice fishing which without my camera would be as exciting as watching paint dry. I don't need to use ice fishing as an excuse to get away from my wife, I got a good one. The Ice was over 2' thick so I was ready for a nap after I got my 3 holes drilled in by hand. The middle hole is for my camera. I have no idea how many of these little Sunfish I caught , a lot! The Northern, Bass and Walleye have a full menu on Lake Minnetonka.

Clear Lake is HUGE. 24,900 square acres or 68 square miles of water. They figure its the oldest fresh water lake in North America @ 2,500,00 years old, which might explain the 4 1/2 pound Crappie and the 17 LB Largemouth. There has not been a post to Lake-Link on Clear Lake. That tells me the fishing people are trying to keep it a secret. Good luck with that!
Minnesota's record for Crappie is 5.0 lbs out of the Vermilion River in 1940, the best I have ever done is about 1/2 that size, and no that's not it in the photo, that one might be 3/4 of a lb but it still ate it.

I moved my mother in law from Angola IN to Cloquet MN about 15 years ago. The trim started in Crystal MN and ended up being about a weeks journey. People whine about driving through Chicago but having an Ipass I blew through on the toll way and never went under about 50 miles an hour in a 26' UHaul, and that was at 3:30 PM on a Tuesday afternoon on I90.
According to Lake Link Crooked Lake has no public launch, does have Blue Gill, Catfish and Largemouth.
Below is the link to it.

I have had a Rapala fillet knife since about 1975, the leather sheath has been gone for years. I bought an Ozark Trail 6" fillet knife/plastic sheath with a glove, scissors and carrying case at Walmart a few years back for about $10, so now I can sharpen them both and always have a sharp knife to work with. They both work well, the Ozark trail cuts threw heavier ribs easier than the Rapala. Clean them up and put them back in your tackle box and you will have them for years.
