I don't know what could be more different. I've lived in Colorado 25 of the last 50 years. Just finished a long conversation with a neighbor who just moved here from California where he did a lot of shore and boat fishing out there. Somebody listening would have thought we were talking two different languages. Lotsa 8" to 14" trout in CO - even a 20-24" now and then. There's a few crappie in the eastern plains lakes (reservoirs in CO). Most lakes you can find some bass. Far cry from what those folks pull out of the big water. Rerig my friend, rerig.

I heard a few people say chattfield reservoir but don’t know where? Been told at night also. New to area thanks
I tried trolling a lot. Electronics showed fields of fish. No luck. Best luck I've had is jigging near the buoys on the west side. 18 inchers are hard to come by, but they're all fun to catch. Gonna be awhile before I can get back out there and retest my theory tho. Gonna be ice for awhile.
Nice looking bows. Looks like a lotta fun. Are you fly fishing? I've been mainly on Chatfield. Had some rainbow fun up at Skagway one morning a while ago. I'm a spin fisher. Congrats on the bows. Maybe I'll try the river one of these nicer winter days we get around here.
RJ, I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm wondering if, at this time of the evening, you may be a bit deeper into the bourbon than I am. When I have the time, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your reminiscences, stories and enlightenments. If I haven't seen one in a while, I find myself looking for one. You keep going. You're a long way from approaching 'too much' in my mind. I enjoy a good read from somebody who has been there.
Blue Mesa Res is beautiful and great fishing. There's also a Blue River flows north out of the Frisco/Silverthorn area.
Used to catch a lot of kokanee out of the Blue just north of Frisco many years ago. I would imagine they're still there. Not bad if you smoke 'em.
Castle Rock now. Kinda a stranger in your part of the country.
Wow! Lived in Colorado off & on for a total of over 25 years. Didn't even know there was a Vega reservoir. Looks beautiful. Good to know.

And who's gonna miss an inch or two of 100 dollar bills here and there?
The only thing I know about Nacogdochas is that there was a Marine Corp Sergeant from there that went way out of his way to help me transition back to the States when the Viet Nam 'conflict' was winding down. Didn't even know Nacogdochas had a lake. Might try it out some day.
A few of those are mine ☺️
Our trip to Iceland in 2020 got Covided. Trying for this year late Sep. to try to catch the Northern Lights. Rent a mini-motorhome & travel around the entire island in two weeks. Can't wait after watching that video. Thanx, Gordon.
All good advice BB. Thanx.
