Spend a lot of time on OBX too! Up your way.
Put it in the lake. Dump it. Recover. Stand up. Dump it. Recover. Then make some leashes for your gear. Launch it. Have fun. Be safe. Wear your pfd!
Hope the water is warm. Haha.
Let me know when you join The upside down club!
Flip the front. Trailing hook is good. It's the way I do my replacements when swapping out trebles.
Do you have them on split rings?
Yeah I tried that once. No Joy! Tried TROLLING?
Thanx Ron. Hate to see anyone get written up and fined for not knowing the regs. I'm sure most on here are involved in responsible fishing. And with their local game wardens.
Big tarpon. Halibut. Blue fin. Marlin. Wahoo.
Can't believe I had to change big tampon to tarpon. Dyac!
Like most I like the natural sounds. But like Randy and Bob I think the noise will be okay until they hook up. Then the game changes. Pretty soon their following bait pods and are 1/4 mile up the beach searching for a repeat.
I go with pain in the butt during a bass tournament! They are fighters though. Never kept one for cooking but may try that par boil prep. Or maybe just smoke em.
Glenn May has some great videos on freshwater fishing.
Ohio! 43 in NEFL. Going to 73 later. Be a good day to launch the hobie but I plan on finishing some cabinets for my wife. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
FISH ON!
Hey Gerald. Stinky is a good way to fish for spot tails. I'm an artie lover and fish a lot of shallows around grass edges and oyster beds. My favorite is top water. Something with a knocker or 2. Noise is the key there. I also fish scented or unscented jigging baits hooked weedless. I hear spoons do well in la. and miss. Reds can't resist the sight of an injured bait. Paddle tails and swim baits have action which alert predator fish.
