First hand made lure. What do you think?
I think your hooks are pointing the wrong way and you're going to miss most strikes. Not hating, just my opinion. Keep at it.

I think if you darkened the lines on that pattern it would be a nice little pencil bait

As I've said before on here, doesn't matter what we think, what will a fish think? OK. You couldn't pay me enough to take a bite of that. Now go prove that I don't know what I'm talking about and catch a fish. Good job asptnt.

The fun part will be testing it out.
Fine tuning it until it does what you want it to do. Are you going to use it as a dart bait or just straight reeling it in? Since there's no bill I'm assuming it will be a dart bait, jerking action. Good luck, you don't know if you don't try something new. It's always fun to catch something with something that you made.
Turn the hooks around and sling the thing around. Fish don't bite lures, they react to symbols. Symbolize the critters and send in pictures.
Flip the front. Trailing hook is good. It's the way I do my replacements when swapping out trebles.
Do you have them on split rings?
There's a youtube contributor called 'marling baits' who builds some really great lures along with some great-looking but ludicrous ones. He tried single hooks on at least one of them and got lots of strikes but very few hook-ups. He switched to treble hooks which both increased the action and the number of hooked fish. Something to think about.
BTW, he also made a lure which was just a rectangular block of wood with hooks and was flat-out catching some nice bass. He worked it like a popper.
Throw that at bluefish chasing mullet. Better have a wire leader. Good job have fun.
Not a bad concept. It will probably work.
