Well, at least it was for me. Cold fronts starting to stack up, and I was hoping to squeeze in another trip before winter. Air temp at launch was 29, water dropped to 44, and breezy. Slower bite, managing a few big Lake Trout… but most importantly, landed and release my personal best smallmouth weighing 7.3 lbs. Just a great way to cap off a really fun year here in Montana.
