I’ve always had good luck on the channel swings. Point 7 has produced some nice fish.
Live bait has always worked for me. Tougher now that marina doesn’t sell minnows. Seining is now allowed. See you at Fellows! Tight lines Darby
The new In Fisherman has an article devoted to bleeding fish and does pouring a soda actually stop the bleeding. Save your soda, doesn’t prevent.
Welcome. We live in one of the best locations for fishing. You’ve go the mighty Mississippi, great nearby streams, and fabulous reservoirs to the south. It’s all about time on the water. Spring is the best time to get out, fish are feeding and we don’t have to entice them to bite, most of the time. Get yourself a shad rap, in Tennessee shad color, a spinner bait, and a couple MOP jigs for the stream and reservoirs. Cat fishing is great on the Mississippi. Good luck. Just get out there, and don’t be afraid to talk and look at what your fellow fisherman are using. And have a blast.

Looking at the Deeper Chirp, anybody ever try one?
I’m a lorance guy. Hook 6, cheap and user friendly
Look the boat over. I wouldn’t be concerned about being stored in water. Use the advice of the fellow responses. My boat has been in lake for 10 yrs. no problem. Thanks about the truck wash advice on acid wash. I use navel jelly to clean the water lines off, that sounds much easier. Enjoy and tight lines.
Stripers, are around there too. Lol but seriously, 40+ lbs. in there.
Enjoy your location Kimmy. We live in the best fishing location. What do you want to catch? There are walleye, 4 kinds of bass, 2 kinds of crappie, record strippers, and monster paddlefish. The strippers are easier to pattern and catch right now. It’s all about time on the water. Enjoy. Tight Lines
Getting that trout fishing itch. Thanks for the update. Heading down from Springfield to try my luck today. A great day in our history.
