Yes I live in central Florida it been in the 90 every day I try to be on the water by 8 and come off by 3 as the day goes slow down your casting let it sit the bass hide under cover or in deep cooler holes but they will eat all the time . I only fish soft plastic in the middle of the day my best is throw worm with unpeg sinker .

The way I learn to use a bait caster reel is easy 1in your yard pull out as many feet you want to throw the bait next take some black electric tape put it on the reel now whine in the line 2 tight down the drag 3 if your reel has max cast setting move it to max now tie on your bait and throw it has hard you can it can only bird nest to the tape practice practice all you can do it will come to you.
I cast right hand but I pitch and flip left hand.
I guess I lucked out I have a 18 ft lowes 2017 catfish no leaks I run lakes and tampa bay salt water.
