They called me and asked if I ordered a washer and dryer.
It was to be sent to a different address than where I live but had my address as the billing address.
I told them that I didn’t know that address that it was to be sent to and I told them to cancel the credit card. I didn’t buy a washer and dryer.
Sure glad that they called me.

You could have sent her a washboard and tub with a clothesline.

Hey Larry will you please send me $ 1.95 for my Fed X delivery. 3 messages the last 3 days wanting my credit card to put the $ 1.95 customs fee charge on it.
The text looks so official but funny thing is I responded to the email address asking for a phone # and where is the package from. So odd the address comes up non deliverable.

Hey Larry. Last week my wife fell to a hacking scam started from. an offshore account ( India) The hacker was very convincing and she feii for it. (Never checked the URL address) checking that can give u red flag as to where the corespondent is coming from. Well she got hooked. All info on that laptop has been downloaded onto an unknown person or site. They have all our corespondents for the last several years. I can not to begin to tell u what a hassle this has been. Contacting multiple banks , credit unions, union pension providers, mortgage company, and social security to change all current account info. So far there as been only one attempt to enter my account. Due to my quick action to notify them , they denied it and turned it over to their fraud division. This could not have come at worst time! Words to all. Please protect your online info. and ..NEVER drop your guard.

Next day got her a low end computer where she can down load crap, email and wonder why she gets all those I want money emails.

Thanks done that. Had the old computer washed off of all info. I wanted to destroy with a hammer but wife wasn’t going for it. It’s boxed, sealed and stored away. Hopefully she will forget where it is after awhile and I can proceed with my original plan!
Bought her a new IMac with the best anti hacking protection installed. My iPad has not been compromised so I’m good to go!

If you asked them where the address was the order was to be sent to, you could have had the police make the delivery. Glad you were not scammed.

Didn’t think of that.
Larry, I had someone fill out a change of address at the post office, still haven’t figured out how, they also filled out a credit card application in my name. Fortunately for me I received it at my home, called and canceled it then called the post office an had to straighten it out online. I also reported all of it to the postal inspector. I tried to get them to give me my new address but they wouldn’t. I had a surprise for them.
