THIS IS SERIOUS!

I just read a letter from a security company and it was saying that I had been a patient at my local hospital, in the last 3 months, which is a partner in a much larger group. Anyway it is saying that there was a security breach and some personal data of patients may have been breached one thing they suggested Which I told you earlier in this thread was that you could go to the three credit reporting agencies and FREEZE MY CREDIT. This is to keep the bad guys from buying big ticket items in your name. If you get to the point where you have to buy a big ticket item like say a new TESLA car or Semi truck, the place who would sell such item to you would check your credit rating at one of the BIG THREE to see if you are a good risk. If a bag guy/gal is trying to make the purchase, the store or whatever will be told that YOUR credit is frozen and the item can't be purchased. If it is the REAL YOU wanting to buy that new 100K battery Bass fishing boat, you take the steps to unfreeze your account for a short window, make your purchase then freeze again. THIS IS TO PROTECT YOU FROM THE CROOKS!!! Sad, but you have to do it so you don't end up in a Soup Kitchen line. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY AND CROOK FREE NEW YEAR. The freezing and unfreezing your credit is not hard, but I believe a necessary one!

Thanks for the info. Went to the post office today and filled out a form requiring them to notify me prior to approving any request for a change of mailing address. The cheaters do this, they put in the request and once they get your mail. They are then in the clear to to start ordering credit cards with your info and have it sent to them.

Thanks for the heads up.

Good info there Kerry. The DISCOVER card has that feature for use of their card. All you have to do is freeze and un freeze when ever you want to use the card.

It is sad, but anymore with all the creeps out there trying to steal what you have, instead of working like we have, you need to be PROACTIVE and protect yourself. If you don't, they may nail you then it will be too late!

Well Kerry I think my Fed X scammer may have given up on me. I received my USPS delivery that I have been waiting on for the last 3 weeks yesterday and for some reason Fed X sent me the " this is our final notice " message.

Since I wasn't home they are not going to deliver my package that they say I owe $ 1.95 on for customs charge.

Sure is strange I was basically in my drive way yesterday from 7 am to 6pm baby sitting concrete workers and no truck even came up the street. Although I am curious what $ 1.95 would have gotten me besides tons of aggravation.

I use "Bitdefender". I have to pay for it, but I can call and talk to someone here in this country if I have a question. Most others you have to deal with them in emails. In the last 3 years, not one issue.
