I am not a Surf fisherman so have a question. In the third picture I see at the far right a group of Surf fishermen. What do they know to pick that ocean spot to fish at out of the whole big long shore?

Hi Kerry.
If you read the way the surf is breaking, it indicates a trough or bar on the bottom. Just like creek channels, or humps in freshwater, fish hang around there to ambush baitfish. When the waves break in a smooth line, it indicates a flat, featureless bottom. Successful Surf fishermen try to learn the bottom contours to improve their success.
