Hey buddy. Looks like a beautiful day to me. Cool in the morning and then some sun to warm you up a little. And of course, some fish to make it fun. Great day and great pics. Congrats brother.

Thanks Steve. It was a very comfortable morning. Smallies are always fun to catch, even if they're not that big. They always fight above their weight class.

Thanks Mark. Glad you enjoyed them. I'm loving it buddy, but the summer is going by too fast. Get that canoe out, before it snows!

Getting off the highway I see fog in the valley. Yep, fog at the lake too. 59°and damp at the ramp, 78.5°water temp. Ran up to the dam and started where I fished last time. VERY SLOW start. Skunkbuster was a dink SM. Worked the 4spots from last trip and caught a 2lb Smallie, and then a 1lb+ Smallie. I thought things were looking up, but they started releasing more water and the bite died. I went south to the Tornado trees, ate my sandwich, and caught another 1.25lb. Smalljaw. By then it was getting crowded with waterskiers, and getting hot, even the water was up to 84°, so I hit the last stretch by the ramp and called it a day. 4 mostly small Smallmouth, was it for the day.

Thanks El Rod. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Hopefully I can make you feel better. Fished 4.5 hours yesterday. Caught 1 10” Kokanee and a 24” Carp. The carp was a fun catch. The wind was supposed to be 3-5mph. At times it was closer to 12mph gusts, with white caps spraying me. Hopefully going back out Sunday morning.

Thanks Russ, I love to share the misery :-)
At least we got out, and didn't get skunked. I've had it up to my eyeballs with the bogus weather reports. Even the radar is wrong. The other day, after covering my boat, in the rain, I checked the radar on my phone. The nearest precipitation was over 30 miles away! WHAT THE HE!!
Good Luck and Tight Lines buddy, hopefully they get it right tomorrow.

Thanks Jwid. How's the fishing on your lake, picking up at all?

Not setting records, not getting skunked either. Has been good for a 1.5 to 2 pound Lmb most of the time. I have to work a variety of baits to get to them. Top water chugging a 6 inch silver Rapala has been the latest success story. Quick picture, lesson learned, released, that bass won’t be hitting a floating Rapala for awhile.
