Triple Tail's often hang around floating weed patches in the Gulf. I have seen them but they are not always willing to bite. Guess I didn't have what they wanted. Perhaps a live shrimp would have done the trick. Just Sayin...RJS

I have heard of them but have never actually seen one. That one looks like a mutant!

I have heard that in order to attract them, some fishermen will carry along some cardboard boxes that they flatten out and on their way out to troll even further, they toll these boxes out. They check them on their return hoping that some tripple tails have found them and taken up a station there. Doesn't always work, but does often enough to make it worthwhile. Just Sayin...RJS

ΒΏAnyone else ever experience "a bit of difficulty" in converting them, from a swimming animal, into DINNER?

Well, the few times i've encountered a tripple tail, they would not bite. Just ignored any lure I offered, and since I did not have any shrimp, live or dead, they ignored all artifical offereings and swam away. Justr Sayin...RJS
